AFC East: The AFC East is a division of the American Football Conference of the National Football League. It consists of four teams: the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots, and the New York Jets. They are all retired American Football League players (AFL). The American Football League Eastern Division was founded as a counterpart to the AFL Western Division during the American Football League’s debut season in 1960. The Buffalo Bills, Boston Patriots, New York Titans, and Houston Oilers were the divisional opponents. The Miami Dolphins joined the AFL as part of its Eastern division in 1966.

The AFC East has won 26 AFL or AFC titles, including 11 by the Patriots, 6 by the Bills, and 5 by the Dolphins. The now-Titans won two games, while the Jets and Colts each won one.

Buffalo Bills: The Buffalo Bills are an American football professional club headquartered in the Buffalo metropolitan region. The Buffalo Bills are a member of the American Football Conference (AFC) East division of the National Football League (NFL). The team’s home games are held at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. The name Bills comes from an All-America Football Conference (AAFC) club in Buffalo, which was named after western frontiersman Buffalo Bill. The Bills are the only NFL club that plays home games in Western New York, and they have a large fan following there. Terry and Kim Pegula control the Bills, who bought the team after the death of previous owner Ralph Wilson in 2014.

New York Jets: The New York Jets are an American football professional team headquartered in the New York metropolitan region. The Jets are a member of the American Football Conference (AFC) East division of the National Football League (NFL). MetLife Stadium (shared with the New York Giants) is in East Rutherford, New Jersey, 5 miles (8.0 km) west of New York City. The Atlantic Health Jets Training Center, which built in 2008, is the team’s training facility.

The squad debuted at the Polo Grounds in 1960. The present name was chosen in 1963 by new ownership, and the franchise relocated to Shea Stadium in 1964, then to the Meadowlands Sports Complex in 1984.

Miami Dolphins: The Miami Dolphins are an American football professional club headquartered in the Miami metropolitan region. They are a part of the American Football Conference (AFC) East division of the National Football League (NFL). The team’s home games are held at Hard Rock Stadium, which is in the northern suburb of Miami Gardens, Florida. Stephen M. Ross presently owns the team. The Dolphins are Florida’s oldest professional sports franchise.

The Dolphins were created by actor-comedian Danny Thomas and attorney-politician Joe Robbie. They debuted in the AFL in 1966. The Miami Seahawks, who competed in the All-America Football Conference in 1946, were the last professional football club in the region.

New York Giants: The New York Giants’ history and tradition are intertwined with the history of professional football since one would have perished without the other in the early days of the National Football League. Tim Mara, now a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, bought a franchise for $500 in 1925, and by the conclusion of the first season, he had paid another $25,000 to keep the Giants alive. The Giants were one of five clubs that entered the NFL in 1925 and are the league’s longest-established franchise in the Northeastern United States.

1. AFC North

The Northern Division of the American Football Conference of the National Football League was formed in the 2002 Division Realignment. It took the place of the AFC Central division. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and Cincinnati Bengals are the current members.

The Browns, Bengals, Steelers, and Houston Oilers were the first four members of the AFC Central (now the Tennessee Titans). Three of the teams’ histories are intertwined. Paul Brown created both the Bengals and the Browns, but the Ravens and the city of Cleveland have their own special bond. Only the Steelers, who are older than the original Browns, do not have a direct connection to Paul Brown.

Baltimore Ravens: Baltimore Ravens, American professional gridiron football club headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland that competes in the National Football League’s American Football Conference (AFC) (NFL). Despite being a very new franchise, having played their first game in 1996, the Ravens won Super Bowls in 2001 and 2013.

The Ravens were founded in 1996 after Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell intended to relocate his historic club, and he secured an agreement with the city of Baltimore to do so. As part of the deal, Cleveland agreed to keep the Browns’ name, history, and colours for a future replacement franchise, therefore the newly renamed Ravens—the name comes from a famous poem by Baltimorean Edgar Allan Poe—were legally resident expansion team.

Cincinnati Bengals: Cincinnati Bengals, American professional gridiron football club that competes in the National Football League’s American Football Conference (AFC) (NFL). The Bengals compete in three Super Bowls and are headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio (1982, 1989, and 2022).

In 1968, the Bengals became an expansion franchise in the American Football League (AFL). Paul Brown, one of the franchise’s founders and its first head coach, had become one of the game’s most renowned coaches while leading the Cleveland Browns. Cincinnati played in the AFL for for two seasons before it joined with the NFL in 1970.

Cleveland Browns: Cleveland Browns, American professional gridiron football club headquartered in Cleveland that competes in the National Football League’s American Football Conference (AFC) (NFL). The Browns have four NFL championships (1950, 1954-55, and 1964) and four All-America Football Conference (AAFC) championships (1946–49).

The Browns were established in 1946 and were given their name as the result of a fan vote. Paul Brown, their first head coach, was chosen because he was well-known in Ohio after leading the Ohio State University to a national collegiate football title. The Browns, who were inaugural AAFC members, won the league championship each of the league’s first four seasons.

Pittsburgh Steelers: The National Football League’s Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team with their home field in Pittsburgh (NFL). The Steelers have won eight American Football Conference (AFC) championships and six Super Bowl triumphs. The Steelers are one of the most illustrious and prosperous teams in the NFL and have won more Super Bowls than any other group.

Art Rooney, a Pittsburgher, allegedly used proceeds from a wager on a horse race to start the team, which was originally known as the Pittsburgh Pirates, in 1933.

2. AFC South

One of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League is the American Football Conference – Southern Division, or AFC South (NFL). Before the 2002 season, when the league restructured divisions after growing to 32 clubs, it was established.

The Colts belonged to the AFC East, the Titans and Jaguars to the AFC Central, and the Texans did not exist prior to the 2002 season. Since none of the teams in the AFC South had played more than eighteen seasons in their present cities when it was formed, the division is sometimes referred to as the “newest” in the NFL.

Houston Texans: The Houston Texans are a Houston-based American football club on the professional level. The Texans are a team in the American Football Conference (AFC) South division of the National Football League (NFL), and they play their home games at NRG Stadium. When the Houston Oilers of the NFL moved to Tennessee in 1997, businesses in the Houston region started making plans to form the team that would become the Texans. Houston received an expansion franchise from the NFL in 1999. In the team’s inaugural game, played in 2002, they defeated the Dallas Cowboys, a long-established cross-state power and rumored foe. The Texans concluded their debut season in the league at the bottom of their division, with that victory being one of only four during the team’s initial year.

Indianapolis Colts: The Indianapolis Colts are a professional American football club headquartered in Indianapolis that competes in the National Football League’s (NFL) American Football Conference (AFC) (NFL). The team, which played under the name Baltimore (Maryland) Colts from 1953 until 1984, has won two Super Bowls and three NFL titles in 1958, 1959, and 1968. (1971, 2007).

In 1953, the disbanded Dallas Texans NFL franchise gave rise to the Colts. Before 1953, there had been two professional football teams with the name Baltimore Colts. As a result of continuous Baltimore-area fan support, the NFL authorised the Baltimore-based owners’ acquisition and relocation of the former Texans. The renamed Colts signed Johnny Unitas, who went on to become one of football’s all-time best quarterbacks, in 1956, and hired future Hall of Fame head coach Weeb Ewbank in 1954.

Jacksonville Jaguars: The American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League is home to the Jacksonville Jaguars, an American professional gridiron football club headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida (NFL). The Jaguars and the Carolina Panthers of the National Football Conference were expansion teams who debuted in 1995. (NFC).

Tony Boselli, a future All-Pro lineman who was selected by the Jaguars in the first round of the collegiate draught, served as the team’s offensive focal point and helped the Jaguars immediately establish themselves as a successful organisation. By making the playoffs in four of their first five seasons, the Jaguars had a significant influence on the NFL from the start. They won two division championships, appeared in two AFC Championship Games, and made four consecutive playoff trips between their second and fifth seasons.

Tennessee Titans: The Nashville, Tennessee-based Tennessee Titans play professional American football. The Titans play their home games at Nissan Stadium in the American Football Conference (AFC) South division of the National Football League (NFL). From 1960 through 1996, the team was based in Houston, Texas, and went by the name Oilers. During that period, it won two American Football League (AFL) championships (1960 and 1961).

One of the eight initial AFL clubs when the fledgling league was established in 1960 was the Oilers. They won the inaugural AFL championship under quarterback George Blanda’s guidance, and they repeated as winners the following season. In 1962, the club made it to their third straight AFL championship game, but they fell to the Dallas Texans in a hard-fought game that required double overtime.

3. AFC West

One of the four divisions that make up the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League is the American Football Conference – Western Division, or simply AFC West (NFL). The teams in the division are the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, and Denver Broncos.

Beginning with Super Bowl I vs. Green Bay, the division has sent teams to the Super Bowl eighteen times. The Broncos and Raiders were equal with three apiece as of the 2021 season for the division’s most Super Bowl victories; the Broncos have played in eight and the Raiders have played in five.

Denver Broncos: The National Football League’s Denver Broncos are a professional American football team with their home stadium in Denver (NFL). The Broncos have won three Super Bowls and eight AFC (American Football Conference) titles (1998, 1999, and 2016).

The Broncos were one of the first teams to join the American Football League when it was established in 1960. (AFL). The Broncos never had a winning record in the league’s ten years of existence, and six times they came in last place in their division.

Kansas City Chiefs: The Kansas City Chiefs are a National Football League (NFL) professional gridiron football team from the United States. They are headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri (NFL). Three league titles (1962, 1966, and 1969) and two Super Bowls (1970 and LIV) were won by the team while it was a part of the now-defunct American Football League (AFL) (2020).

The team, initially headquartered in Dallas and known as the Texans, was one of the original eight American Football League (AFL) franchises. Lamar Hunt, owner of the Texans, organised other would-be NFL owners who had been rejected by the established league and started the AFL after being rejected in a prior effort to buy the NFL’s Chicago Cardinals.

Las Vegas Raiders: A professional American football club called the Las Vegas Raiders is situated in the Las Vegas metropolitan region. The American Football Conference (AFC) West division is where the Raiders participate in the National Football League (NFL). The team’s headquarters are in Henderson, Nevada, while Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, serves as its home field.

The Raiders were one of the eight inaugural clubs in the AFL when it was created in 1960. After three unsuccessful campaigns, the organisation signed Davis to be the team’s general manager and head coach in 1963.

Los Angeles Chargers: The Los Angeles Chargers are a professional American football club that competes in the National Football League’s (NFL) American Football Conference (AFC) (NFL). The Greater Los Angeles-based Chargers have participated in one Super Bowl (1995).

As one of the first eight teams in the fledgling American Football League, the Chargers debuted in 1960. (AFL). In their debut season, the Chargers finished 10-4 and made it to the inaugural AFL championship game, where they were defeated by the Houston Oilers.
